The club was founded in Tallow. The founding members were Leonard Fraser, Patrick Coughlan,Desmond McCarthy,Joe Tobin, Tony Coughlan, Maurice Tobin and John Russell

Brideview United's home ground in Tallow, Co Waterford is called Leonard Fraser Park in honour of the late Leonard Fraser a founder member of the club who died in 2016.

Cork County Cup

Brideview United won the Cork County Cup in 1982 becoming the first and only club to take the Cork County Cup out of Cork. The club defeated Mallow in the final.
